Santa!

Connor had his first encounter with Santa this year at his Aunt Julie's house. He didn't seem to mind him, but held on with white knuckles to me. He was good with Santa once he was given a present! We decided not to scar him by taking him anywhere else to sit on Santa's lap!

Connor and Ruby

I just had to post this picture...how cute are they (don't worry it's closed mouth!)

Halloween 2008

We had a great time celebrating Halloween this year. The Saturday before Halloween we went to my sister in law's nursing home and Connor practiced Trick or Treating with the residents. At first he was unsure, but then he began taking fists full of candy. We went outside where they had a petting zoo, jumping tent, balloon animals and anything else you could imagine. We had a great time! On Halloween, we took Connor back in the neighborhood to about 15 houses. He said Trick or Treat and thank you as he walked up and down the driveways. We ended at the Benge's house where Connor ate a sucker that took about 10 minutes to kick in before he started chasing his tail. And by the way he was a monkey...not a mouse or bear and definitely not Batman!

Camping in Versailles

We went camping a couple of weeks ago in Versailles, IN with the Sparks'. We had great weather! We arrived on Friday, set up the tent and hung out around the fire. Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Festival that had no pumkins! We played a few games there and Connor had his first carousel ride. On Sunday the entire habitants of Versailles woke up to Connor screaming "no way!" at 6:45am. We packed up and headed home. We all had a great time and ate like kings (imagine that.) Who eats ribs when they're camping? We hope we can make this an annual tradition!

Disappointing Season

Here's Connor's thoughts on the Bengals 0-5 season.

Baby News

For anyone who hasn't heard our exciting news...we are having another baby! It's so funny that people actually ask me if it was planned. I'm not a 14 year old girl! YES the baby was planned! Connor doesn't understand what's going on and we're not pushing the idea, but how cute is he when we ask him where the baby is he puts his finger up to his lips and tells me SHHHH! I'm 14 weeks and due in early April. Let's all hope we don't have another 10+lb baby! We'll keep you posted with pictures! Notice Connor's shirt!

Peek a Boo in Pa's Car

Here's Connor in his Pa's car! He loves to spend lots of time in there dancing and listening to music!

Day at the Zoo with the Cook Family

Connor and I had a great time at the Cincinnati Zoo with Missy, Carter and Brady. Good idea: Taking the three boys to the zoo on an unusually cool summer day and packing a lunch to eat. Bad idea: Forgetting how hilly the zoo is and pulling 60-70 pounds of kid up hills in a wagon! We had a great time and hope to go back soon! Carter loved the cats and monkeys, Connor loved the fish and manitees, and Brady loved everything! We all were exhausted at the end of the day!

Fourth of July

We had a great Fourth of July this year. We went over The Sparks' and Connor had his first experience with fireworks. He wasn't as amazed as we thought. Actually, I think the adults had more fun with the kids' fireworks. He loved putting the lightning bugs in the bucket for his cousins though!

Spreading the Love

So you know every boy's parents have taken pictures of him playing with dolls or carrying a purse. Well, here's ours! How sweet is he?

Parky's Farm

Connor and I have been trying to go on more dates to enjoy all of the nice weather we've been having. Our last outing was to Winton Woods and to Parky's Farm. We started off at the playground where he had a blast. He chased the ladies and played peek a boo with them as well. After playing pretty hard, he had a seat on the bench to enjoy a much needed snack and drink. Then we went to Parky's Farm to pet the animals. Why does it not suprise me that Connor wanted to chase the cat? I told him we could do that at Aunt Julie's house, but he insisted! He then found interest in the chickens and llama (I was a little frightened by the llama I will admit!) Here are some pictures of our day!

The Wedding

So I'm just now catching up on blogs and for those of you who are going crazy that our blogs are not in chronological order, I'm right there with you! Okay so maybe it's just me! Anyways, as most of you know Mike and I were honored to be a part of our friends Katie and Kris' big day. The wedding was beautiful, but more importantly we had a blast. My only regret: eating brunch at the revolving restaurant the next day (not so good on a sensitive tummy!) So Katie has enough pictures to remember the day and it's a good thing because I took 4! Here are some pictures I wanted to share with everyone who asked! Congratulations again guys!

Clean Up In Aisle 2

These pictures are priceless. Mind you this is our 3 bag of crackers we lost this month. We had to put safety locks on all snack drawers!

Water!

Since being in Destin, Connor has discovered the most amazing and entertaining new thing....WATER. Whether it be the shower, pool, ocean, shooting fountains at the playground, or the hose. That was our saving grace while on vacation....water.

Vacation in Destin

We spent the last week vacationing in Destin with the Sparks'. The weather was perfect; sunny and 85 degrees everyday. We had a great time relaxing all week. Mike and my dad went golfing a few times while Connor and I went to the beach everyday and did enough shopping to last us a year (or last me a year at least!) Connor was a trooper all trip!

Sitting on the pot!

Connor has given new meaning to the phrase sitting on the pot. Isn't it funny how much money you spend on toys that play music and light up and then your kid wants to play with a round piece of metal? As I was making dinner, he spent about ten minutes trying to figure out how many different ways to play with it. I love the second picture because he looks like he's getting ready to do some type of back flip or swan dive. Notice the rosy cheeks....he got his first sunburn today! Who would have thought that my child would have been fair skinned?! I hope you enjoy the video!

Happy Spring

Spring is finally here! Despite the 3 feet of rain that was dumped on us this week, the weather has been pretty mild. We've been able to get out for a few walks and Connor just can't get enough of the outdoors. He finally ventured into the grass today for the first time after many thoughts, but no attempts. And yes, that is grass he's walking through though it looks more like a field of brocolli. No offense Mike! Mike and Connor were able to shoot their first game of basketball and I'm pretty sure Connor won!

Easter Egg Hunt

Connor went on his first Easter Egg hunt with his cousins Elle and Sam. He walked through the doors and instead of knocking the other kids over in a Connor-like fashion, he sat on the floor to play with the eggs. After we showed him what to do, he started putting them in his basket while calling them all balls. After he filled up his basket we headed out to the lobby where he saw the Easter Bunny. He didn't want to make eye contact although he did better than his last encounter at TriCounty Mall. I think the Easter Egg hunt was a hit.
